Re-Name the Ball Challenge

We’re re-naming the Infinity Ball, set to take place on Saturday, July
17 at Universal Orlando Resorts’ Royal Pacific Resort.

Help us out and suggest a name – either post a comment to this post
(just make sure you include your email address) or tweet us @HPEF with
your proposed name! (We’d love it if you also used the #Infinitus
#WWoHP and #HarryPotter hashtags.)
The person who’s the first to post the name we choose will win a $25
Universal gift card, which can be used for food and merchandise
at select locations throughout both Universal Orlando theme parks
including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as well as Universal
CityWalk.
Infinitus staffers and volunteers can enter, as can HPEF Board
Members, but Board Members and Informal Programming chairs are not
eligible for prizes.
Deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 29. 2010 at 11:59 Pacific

The Remembrance Ball – I know a lot of people who are attending Infinitus as their last con 😦
The Bewitched Ball- The theme being what we do best WIZARDS.
Boundless Ball – The theme being something similar to “as boundless as the sea” [Romeo and Juliet]. Like the fandom is never ending, and would include pictures from past cons ( I’m sure some volunteers could come up with some as decorations) Then people could look around for their picture.
Starlight/Starlit Ball- The theme being stars and fancy dress.

Since the ball is after a very powerful New Moon/solar eclipse on the 11th, and is nearly at the true Middle of Summer, I think in honor of the crescent moon that will be setting in the west with the setting sun, the name of the ball should be Lughnasa’s Embrace ( Gaelic Mid-summer) 🙂
