Park Event Update

April 15, 2010

We’re getting lots of questions about our special park event at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  We apologize for the delay but we want to make sure everything is 100% ready before we make any official announcements.

Infinitus 2010 is happy to announce that Universal has given us the go-ahead to sell single-day, after-2 p.m. and multi-day passes at a discount – and registrants will even be able to purchase it bundled with a ticket to our exclusive Park event on July 16.

We’re still working out some of the details and expect the tickets to go on sale very soon. Check this website again soon for more information.

Sign up for the newsletter and follow HPEF on Twitter or come back to this site frequently so you’ll be the first to get the latest Infinitus 2010 news.

Yes, we are capped at 1500 tickets, because of capacity issues at the WWoHP.

I see some prices on the site with Night of A Thousand Wizards and other things like 1 day park admission, etc- what is the price for JUST the NoaTW?

You found a page that is still “under construction.” We’ll have it updated and finalized soon. Please wait for the official announcement…hopefully it will be out as soon as we’ve made a few more tweaks.

Will there be two separate fees for:

    1. Infinitus Attendees to the Park
    2. The Special After Hours Event

Would up grading to the Merlin Circle gain access to the Special evening event?

    I’m so excited … I don’t know which way to go …

I saw that you can now purchase the park tickets on the Infinitus registration website. When will the park ticket/Night of a Thousand Wizards combo pack be on sale?

    • April 20, 2010 6:52 am

Should be soon. The registration team is still uploading and testing the site to make sure everything is working properly. We’ll send out an announcement as soon as everything is ready to go!

Do we know yet exactly what the event will consist of and how long it will be? Will it basically be like a regular park experience, except at night. or will there be more?? Sorry if this is somewhere on the website, but I couldn’t find it.

    • April 21, 2010 2:00 am

From what I’ve heard, I believe that it will be more than a regular park experience. Unfortunately, we can’t give out any specifics until they’ve been cleared by Universal. Stay tuned… We’ll let you know as soon as we’re cleared to tell you!

Thank you so much, Mary!! One more question: does one purchase the tickets through the registration section?

So, I saw that the tickets were available and I jumped the gun.
How will I know if my purchase went through or not?

    • April 21, 2010 8:03 pm

We’re beta testing ticketing with our volunteers and a few others. If you are part of this group you’ll be able to tell if the purchase went through on your registration information page.

Just wondering, and you may not have an answer for this from UO yet, but will there be an option to buy just the NoaTW event, without the after 2p park admission for those of us who already have park entrances covered via annual pass, employee IDs, etc.? I’m expecting there to be an event charge, for the wristband / VIP pass / what have you, but I’m guessing that a fair chunk of the $100 is for the entrance itself.

The $100 ticket is for access to the after-hours park event. The fact that they are letting people in after 2 p.m. is really just a bonus. Our team tried very hard to negotiate some good prices (they are annual pass holders too) and this was the best they could get. The park sets the prices for these events.
For non-annual pass holders the multi-day pass is their best bet since it brings down the overall cost.

thanks. i never had any doubt that you guys tried to get the best prices, for the record. i was just wondering if there was a possibility.

    I’m a little confused.

Can we start buying tickets for NoaTW/the park now? I still don’t see an official announcement but it seems people have already been buying tickets.

    • April 26, 2010 9:12 pm

We’re beta testing our ticket sales with our volunteers. See the registration site for more information.

On the registration info page, it says tickets for the Wizarding World event will go up on April 30. (Or May 1??) Will this still be true, even though you’re not officially selling the tickets yet? Thanks! Can’t wait! 🙂

Hi! Quick question. I know a few of the bands do not need to register for the conference, as they are being comped or whatever because they are playing shows there, but do they need to register for this as well? I’m just asking as I know I have to register and have no problem paying the $100 for the special park event, but I’m not sure if the bf needs to pay as well, or if he get’s in free as part of the benefits for playing a show? Just curious, as it’ll save us $100 if not! Thank you!

      Hi Samantha,
In answer to your question…yes…everyone has to purchase a ticket for the park event (even our staff). If you have any questions feel free to contact our registration team directly at

How do I purchase tickets for the special event and the parks for me and my child. We both have the same registration no. and everything says you can only purchase 1 ticket for NOATW?

  13. May 5, 2010 6:53 am

The FAQ page is really great, but I still have a question.
The two-day pass (etc) says that one of the days used must be July 16 for NoOTW. So, does that leave only 1 “normal” day of pass use? Or is it two days of “normal” park attendance PLUS the NoOTW event? I will probably not have time to get to the park on Friday other than the NoOTW event because of all the con stuff I’m involved in, but I’m trying to decide whether to go with a 2-day or 4-day. If NoOTW is one of the “days” counted, then I’ll probably go with the 4-day. But it it’s two days plus the special event, 2 days should be plenty. Hope that makes sense!
